Here’s to building a healthy 2025!
One thought – don’t fall for a “quick fix” if you want it to last. Have you ever had one of those quick-fix solutions last?
If you did, well done.
For the rest of us, that frustration and beating up on ourselves only makes it worse. We think:
- if we get to our goal, we’ll be able to sustain it. (um – I couldn’t)
- If we buy new clothes in a smaller size, we won’t outgrow them this time (that “this time” should probably be a hint.)
It’s not about blame or shame – it’s about learning how to make it last.
Every program out there (including mine) addresses these with lots of information, nutrition and exercise suggestions, coaching, maybe some courses or recordings, group support, and our particular bit of wisdom on the issue. These are tools to help, but these are not “one and done” tools any more than cleaning a room makes it sparkle forever. Our bodies are not static.
Here’s the truth: Weight loss and maintenance come down to sticking to fundamental lifestyle changes. Consistency with sensible choices creates change.
It ain’t sexy, but it’s the truth.
And it takes time to learn and retrain ourselves, and we will wobble along the way. The key is having support when you’re wobbling. That’s the magic of coaching – someone is there when you need balance. If you’re ready to truly lose the weight AND keep it off, let’s chat: [email protected]
