Cravings are annoying, but you do not have to relinquish control to that cupcake, margarita, or snack mix. You have everything you need to take back the control of your mind and therefore what you eat. You can do this.
Next time you’re craving something or dreaming about your next meal, take a moment and think about your last meal. Focus on it, and relive every bite. Taste those flavours, feel that texture, inhale that memory of the scent. Enjoy that feeling for a moment.
Replaying a previous meal often satisfies that craving because your brain can’t tell the difference between the experience and the mental replay. That’s why professional athletes mentally rehearse a play, shot, or match. Rehearsing it, visualizing it, will help identify whether you’re actually hungry or just bored, stressed, or emotionally hungry.
If you actually are hungry, think about what you might really want. If you aren’t actually hungry, go do something that will relieve that boredom, reduce that stress, or feed your heart. You get to choose.
If I can be of any service, give me a call. We can get you to your goal.
All the best,
Is it wasteful or filling your waist?
