My mission is to help women who are struggling with their weight, who look to food to relieve stress, boredom, and emotional issues, and then feel that their value as a person is tied to their weight or any other kind of performance.

After 40 years on a diet to counter my emotional eating, I finally disarmed the triggers of comfort eating and freed myself from that yo-yo.

What makes my approach distinctive is that I am trained as a chaplain with a Master’s degree in counseling, and this expertise enables me to help my clients free themselves emotionally by addressing their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.

The result is that my clients get the body they want, find true comfort without comfort food, and embrace the beautiful person they are from inside out.

With a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Clinical Residency in Pastoral Care, I utilize traditional and contemporary models as well as relaxation and horse-assisted methods. I have worked as a chaplain and counselor in long-term acute care hospitals and hospice for more than a decade serving patients, families, and staff. In 2011, I opened an international private practice in counseling serving clients and colleagues in the U. S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, India, South Africa, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand.

Michael and I began the joyous adventure of marriage in 1995.

Before and after photos:  Forty years on my own yo-yo, although I don’t have a photo of my first diet at age 10.  I figure I lost about 2000 pounds–up and down one or two here and there to big chunks of 10- 15 before regaining it to the last time I lost 25 pounds by facing my stuff and disarming my triggers of comfort eating.
